How Caprock operates
Caprock started as a private real estate investment trust in 2001. In 2006, we launched our first public fund under the leadership of John Elvy as Chairman. Over the next 8 years, Caprock operated under a Board of Directors with John remaining as Chairman until 2014.
By 2014, the Board of Directors voted that Caprock's Investment and Management decisions operate under a Management Committee, with various committees being formed in accordance with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission guidelines for Public Companies.
The Committee has a number of independent members, controlled by an independent Chairman; established to oversee individual projects. The Committee operates under a Charter which sets out the scope of the Responsibilities. The Board has delegated the investment management responsibilities to the Committee. The role of the Committee is not an executive role.
Graham Fox is the current Chair of the Investment Committee. Graham has been an active member since 2007 where he sat on the board of directors and was also the responsible manager under the Caprock AFSL for a time. Since then, he has been appointed for various roles and responsibilities.
